As my birthday present of my parents and grand parents, I was told to take the bike to a garage to get it sorted, so I can trust it and start using it again.

Apparently the carbs were full of gunk, and one of the chokes was not working, which would explain the starting problems. Also the clock was what was draining the battery if left for a night.

Going to see about getting the guy to clean out the tank for me, so the fuel filters don't get blocked so quickly, but otherwise, it sounds like all systems go. It even passed it's MOT
